Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 12, 2026. This policy explains how Talk AIARCHIVE processes personal data.

Talk AIARCHIVE is a service for archiving AI conversations and optionally sharing selected conversations in a public library. This Privacy Policy covers data processed on our website and in our service. A standalone privacy policy for the browser plugin/extension is available separately.

1. What we collect

Account data. Email address and basic account identifiers required to provide the Service.

Archived content. Conversation content you choose to save, plus basic metadata such as title and timestamps.

Public content. If you share a conversation publicly, the shared conversation (and related metadata) becomes publicly readable. Public comments (if enabled) are also public.

Device and security data. We maintain device records for extension pairing/revocation to protect your account.

Technical data. Basic logs necessary for security, abuse prevention, and reliability (e.g., request metadata).

2. Browser extension scope

The extension captures ChatGPT page content locally after you authorize it and only for the purpose of archiving conversations to your Talk AIARCHIVE account. It is not intended to track unrelated browsing activity. See the Plugin Privacy Policy and the Extension Policy.

3. How we use data

  • Provide private archiving, search/organization, and account features.
  • Enable public sharing and community features (public reading and commenting) when you opt in.
  • Operate extension pairing, device management, and revocation for account security.
  • Maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, and investigate security incidents.

4. Data isolation and access controls

Private archive data is logically isolated by user_id and protected by access controls designed to prevent one user from accessing another user’s private data. Public content is accessible to the public by design once you choose to share it.

5. Sharing and public visibility

When you publish a conversation, it becomes publicly readable. Other users may be able to comment on it (depending on product settings). Do not publish sensitive or personal information you do not want to be public.

6. Retention and deletion

You can delete archived conversations and you can delete your account. Deletion is intended to be permanent, subject to limited retention required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup integrity.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data, including access controls and credential management for extension pairing. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
